In 1978, Mike Sibthorp had a photography studio in the old manor at Bray Studios. He was asked by special effects supervisor Nick Allder to photograph the sets of Ridley Scott’s Alien, becoming the “unofficial” photographer for the production. He took a series of awe inducing studio portraits of “The Alien” and Bolaji Badejo, the Nigerian the actor who played the famous xenomorph by HR Giger.
